​BA Hons in Business Studies (Systems)

About Program

The systems track aims at teaching students the skills needed to improve the process of administrative decision making. It also aims to improve the students' abilities to apply systems' thinking and practices for managing and solving complexities in accordance with the administrative requirements.
Business Administration graduates in the systems field have a wide range of job opportunities in service, commercial and industrial firms as project managers, Business systems analysts, business advisors and administrators.

Career Opportunities
  • Systems Analyst: This is the most direct role of a graduate of this specialization, as he analyzes existing systems, identifies strengths and weaknesses, and suggests improvements to increase efficiency.Project Manager: A systems graduate can manage IT projects or process improvement projects, benefiting from his understanding of systems and how to manage change.
  • Management Consultant: The graduate can provide advice to companies on how to improve their processes and systems, especially in the area of decision-making.
  • Operations Engineer: Works to improve existing processes and design new, more efficient processes, drawing on his understanding of systems thinking.
  • Risk Manager: Assesses potential risks facing the organization and develops plans to mitigate them, drawing on his understanding of complex systems.
  • Quality Manager: Ensures the quality of products and services, drawing on his understanding of continuous improvement processes.
  • Business Analyst: Collects and analyzes data to make better decisions, leveraging his systems analysis skills.
  • Entrepreneur: A systems graduate can leverage his understanding of business and systems to start his own company.


Program Duration

  • The minimum number of semesters for a Bachelor's degree is six regular semesters and one summer (3.5 academic years).
  • The maximum number of semesters for a Bachelor's degree is twenty-four semesters (twelve academic years) excluding summers. 
Method of Delivery

The method of teaching for all members in FBS full-time teaching/ blended learning 50% synchronous and 50% asynchronous.
Lecture attendance is mandatory at least once a week (or twice for some courses) for each registered course. Tutorials are offered from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and can be scheduled for 1 or 2 days per week to accommodate working students.
