The Arab Open University was established as a developmental, non-profit academic institution that adopts a blended learning model. It was founded pursuant to Royal Order No. 7/B/17813 through the initiative of the late His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud — may Allah have mercy on him. The University has established branches and regional centers in six cities across the Kingdom, serving the sons and daughters of the nation and providing higher education opportunities for all who seek it, without barriers of time or place.
