I received the B.E. degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan, in December 2010, the M.Sc. degree (with Distinction) in Networks and Performance Engineering from the University of Bradford, U.K., in December 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in March 2018. I was a member of the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Research Group at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT), King Abdulaziz University, from 2014 to 2018.
Following completion of my Ph.D., I joined the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad, as an Assistant Professor under the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) program of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, in August 2018. In August 2019, I joined the Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, Malakand Campus, as Assistant Professor and Head of Department. Subsequently, in November 2019, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track System) at the University Institute of Information Technology, PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. I resigned from this position in February 2020 and relocated to Saudi Arabia, where I re-joined the HPC Research Group at King Abdulaziz University as a part-time member (where I conducted research from 2020 to 2022).
From September 2020 to August 2023, I served as an Assistant Professor at Jeddah International College, Saudi Arabia. Since September 2023, I have been working as an Assistant Professor at The Arab Open University, Saudi Arabia.
My current research interests include energy-aware algorithms, high-performance computing, GPU computing, human–computer interaction, artificial intelligence, smart cities, and performance modeling.
