Dr. Lamia Alhassoun is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics whose work examines the dynamic relationship between language, culture, and identity. Her research interests include identity construction, sociolinguistic variation, intercultural and internal communication, language and gender, discourse analysis, professional communication, and language use in organizational and societal contexts. She is particularly interested in how language operates as a medium through which individuals and communities construct meaning, negotiate relationships, and foster understanding across diverse settings.
